Our Story
In the Moment started as documenting the homeschool journey with my daughter. When COVID happened I began researching “how to begin homeschooling in Texas”. I have always had a passion for children’s education and after I started homeschooling my daughter I quickly grew passionate about that too. I began to post videos of our homeschool days on my social media platforms. I started getting questions from parents about how to get started with homeschooling their children and that is when I knew I wanted to help other families. From that desire In The Moment Microschool came to be. We opened our doors to other families in January 2024.
About the Owner
My name is Brittany Lerma and I created, In The Moment, to assist families with their homeschool journey and to create a safe space for children to learn at their own pace. My professional training includes a bachelor’s in early childhood education and a master’s in elementary education. I also have previous experience as a preschool teacher and have homeschooled my kids over the past year and a half. I’ve enjoyed every moment homeschooling has afforded me with my children, and hope I can share this privilege with other families. I believe in the importance of parent involvement in a child’s education as well as building a strong support group within our community. I am looking forward to meeting new families and supporting your homeschool journey!
